What would be enough paint to paint car?
What would be enough to paint the hood of a car, and the side part of a car where the front side tire goes. Is that called the side fender, or the side hood. lol dont know. Is a lincoln car, and those parts I had to replace, now I need to paint them to match the rest of the car. Would I need a pint or a quart. I’m painting it with spray gun. Also what is a real cheap place to buy car paint online for a lincoln ?

Hi. The two previous answers are correct, but your question leads me to believe you haven’t painted a car before.
I hope you realize that the hood and fender are not likely to match the rest of the car. The old paint will have faded over time, even if it doesn’t look it.
The hood won’t be as noticeable, but that fender will stick out like a sore thumb next to the door.
Most body shops would paint the whole side if not the whole car in order to get a decent match. If they felt they could come close with the new paint, they would at least blend it into the door.
You also don’t indicate the year of the car and therefore whether it is base coat/clear coat or an enamel or lacquer finish.
If it’s base coat/clear coat, you will also need to buy at least a pint of clear coat.
In addition you will need the correct amount and type of thinner/hardener for the above. There are different types to use depending on the condition in which you will be painting (temperature, humidity), and of course if you are not painting the car in a real paint booth you will have to worry about getting ideal conditions to have the least amount of dust left in the paint when you are done.
In addition any type of paint requires a good mask at least with some recommending use of a fresh air source (a mask with an external air supply).
This is not meant to discourage you from learning to paint, but rather to make sure you understand what you are getting into. You might get lucky and end up with a great paint job as your first one (I did), but a partial paint job is probably the hardest task to take on.
The biggest thing to remember is how you prepare for painting is probably the most important part of the whole job. If there is poor primer, nicks, dings, or other problems with the hood and fender now, they will all be accentuated when you put on the final top coat.
